More precisely, `hash_function' was initially introduced because the feature `hash_code' of DOUBLE is very bad. So it was more a workaround than a new functionality. And then, it was used to provide case-insensitive hash codes for strings. It would be indeed better (and more reusable) to have different classes. -- Eric Bezault mailto:[email protected] http://www.gobosoft.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/
