I have git 1.6.2.5 installed. When I try:

git clone http://github.com/gobo-eiffel

I get:

Initialized empty Git repository in /home/colin/gobo-eiffel/.git/
fatal: http://github.com/gobo-eiffel/info/refs not found: did you run git update-server-info on the server?
