I pulled down gobo from CVS this morning, tried to bootstrap, experienced a "BUILD FAILED". established GOBO environmental variable as path to gobo directory ... executed the bootstrap.sh in /usr/local/Eiffel/otherEiffel/gobo/work/bootstrap as "bootstrap -v gcc ise" ... after several seconds of cogitation, the compile process started, ran for a while then aborted with this message: (This is actually the second time I have run bootstrap; I ran it this morning, then just now to get the exact message.) eiffel.xace: [gexace] gexace --define="GOBO_EIFFEL=ise GOBO_OS=unix" --system="ise" --output="compile_ise.ace" /usr/local/Eiffel/otherEiffel/gobo/src/gec/system.xace [delete] gec [delete] gec.melted [delete] libgec.dll [set] finalize=true [ise] ec -batch -ace compile_ise.ace -finalize In `/usr/local/Eiffel/otherEiffel/gobo/bin' an Eiffel project already exists Compilation aborted due to `-batch' or `-stop' option. [ise] cd EIFGEN/F_code [ise] finish_freezing -silent Preparing C compilation ... sh: Makefile.SH: No such file or directory make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop. BUILD FAILED! BUILD FAILED! I considered going back to get the 3.4 distribution, but was advised I need the latest versions out of CVS to do what I need to do. Suggestions, please? (I do notice in the message the script is looking for a makefile.SH (uppercase "SH"). Could that be a typo in the bootstrap.sh or one of the subscripts somewhere down in the directories?) BTW, ... I am running on RedHat Fedora Core 5, with ISE Eiffel 5.6 installed. Thanks for any help.
