Hi all, Eiffel-IUP 19.11, the first release compatible with GOBO Eiffel,
is available at:
https://notabug.org/GermanGT/eiffel-iup/releases
This is a library to build graphical applications based on the IUP
toolkit. The reason to choose IUP is because is small and simple, so the
effort to develop this library is acceptable (I don't get money to do
this). However this library is enough to build a large kind of
applications. This toolkit use native controls at Windows and at Linux
(using Gtk or Motif), but also provide some widgets that aren't
natives.=C2=A0 Not all the widgets at IUP are currently available at
Eiffel-IUP. But in future releases I will add more widgets. There is no
online documentation for this library, but you can build your own with
gedoc. However, there is an online tutorial (an adaptation of the
official IUP documentation) at:

As you can see in that tutorial the creation features for almost all the
widgets have the name of the widget type. For example a button is
created with "button", a label with "label" and so on. I know this is
not the expected for feature names, but I started this library when
begin to learn Eiffel. If you think this is inadequate, this could be
changed in future releases.
Not all the features at widgets has been tested, so could be problems
with some of these. Please send=C2=A0 a bug report if you find one.
The most easy way to install IUP is with the binary packages (notice
there are packages for different versions of linux kernel), read the
INSTALL file.
The tarball includes an eiffel.el file to be used with Emacs. This is a
modified version of the Liberty Eiffel version. Not all items at
"Eiffel" menu item works, but the highlight and indentation have
improvements. Also I release a package (search it with the name
"language-eiffel-modern") for Atom if you prefer this editor.
