Hi, SE list!

I've been watching this list for ... years now :) I've been interested
in Eiffel since my professor of Programming Lanugages mentioned it for
the first time. Even borrowed OOSC from her. And still keep all the
mails from this list since November 2002!

And I've always been supporting SE team in their work, because I
really liked an idea that we'll have great tool to make great
software :)

What I would like to say that a month ago I had to decide which
freeware language I have to use to port my game from Delphi. There
were two candidates:

1. FreePascal
2. SmartEiffel + LCC-Win32

1. I needed only a week (and about two hours each day) to make it work
under FreePascal. It worked perfectly! With new FP compiler I even got
lot of warnings and hints (like those about unused local variable)
which really helped me removing some bugs! I've continued my work in
FP since I want to move forward in my development but...

2. ... I really hope that I'll choose Eiffel (namely SmartEiffel) one
day. I'm even ready to spend some time to port all the libraries I
need to SE. On the other hand, I'll say million-times-said: "It's hard
to look in the future if you know how unsettled the past was"

What I would like to ask SE team for is that you write some kind of
paper/document/whatever and say:

A) These are things that we have implemented and WHICH WILL REMAIN in
compiler for at least half a year from now: ....

B) These are things that are implemented, but the will surely/
probably/maybe be changed in the future: ...

C) There are things that we plan to do in next half year: ...

Half a year! That's the time I need, that's the time mindnever is
planning to spend on developing a game.

I don't want to push you, I know that you give lot of efforts in you
work. But, I really feel that the ABC document from above will really
help you and will help all users of SE, so that we can decide our way.

In this case: SE or not to SE ;)
