ANN: SmartEiffel 1.2r1 released

Another release fo SmartEiffel 1.2 (transitional) is out.

SmartEiffel 1.2 (transitional) is a branch of the SmartEiffel compiler
based on SmartEiffel 1.1. It is 100% backwards compatible with 1.1, but
with several 2.x extensions, to be useful to port software to
SmartEiffel 2.x

This is the first release useful to the public. It includes some new
library classes (2.x compatible) and shows some warnings for code that
will not work in SmartEiffel2. It is easier to install this release
without conflicts with other SmartEiffel compilers. Some bugfixes were
included.

The development could be faster with more people, so if anyone wants to
help, the development process is open. Just drop by our mailing list
and say hello before asking write access to the repository ;-)

The next release is being planned, so if there are some features you
would like to see next month in r2, it's the time to ask.
