Serge, I am not having a go at you in particular, but please, even if a
command breaks in a way that is obvious to you, be a little more specific
than "it breaks". For instance "pretty seems to sig11 with every file I
give it (for instance, pretty string hangs)" is much better.

In general, for a good report, we need to know
- what you did (command used, files used,....)
- what happened (it compiled without errors, the resulting executable
crashed at runtime, the compiler crashed, ...)
- what you were expecting to happend instead
