We need more information:

System architecture / operating system
What compilation options were used
Do you use HiPE?
arguments to the VM

Can you log in to the console on the node?
Do you have a crashdump? (I believe sending SIGQUIT to the beam.smp process
will produce one, but do note environment variables in the erl(1) man page).
