Sorry it's taken me a few days to get to this but it was a long
weekend here in Canada and I haven't had much computer time.

I've applied your patch, added a key binding of "C-c C-d g" for
erl-ping and updated the distel.texi documentation file (Conventions
section). All mods have now been committed.
