Hi all, It's awfully quiet in here so I thought I share an idea I had for a distel hack. In my imagination its a perfect pastime for the upcoming holidays. Here we go: I want to share a buffer between two or more machines running emacs. A shared pasteboard if you will - or an IM for (decentralized) teams of developers. Features I imagine this hack to have: - Security. At least for some buffers a cookie/certificate should be avail for access. - Decentralized (serverless). Every client should have his own copy. - Discovering distel nodes interested in participation. Something like RendezVous (Zeroconf). An example of this can be found here: http://www.codingmonkeys.de/subethaedit/ could be interesting. Comments ? Anyone ? cheers, --david. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program. Does SourceForge.net help you be more productive?
