Anthony, after some pondering, I agree that it's important to document
'from_asm' and 'from_core'. But, we need to do both - add 'core' and
document 'from_asm' and 'from_core'. If this gets accepted, it will be
safe to rely on the options. The branch has been updated accordingly.
