Shell History in Erlang

Hello,

I am writing to hear if there's been any progress on
http://erlang.org/pipermail/erlang-patches/2012-February/002651.html

I am a user of Elixir, and while Mr. Hebert's erlang-history (
https://github.com/ferd/erlang-history) does provide me with Erlang shell
history, it would be nice to have the blessing of Erlang itself in this
matter by simply including this functionality in the shell.
