Now that I re-read your original missive about this possible font character...

If it's last in the original chain of fonts then ( 95 I think? with
out looking it up) then it is supposed to be the filled space. Should
take the place of the cursor in the array of capital letters where the
cursor would be found at the end of the lowercase.
