Build update

Hi folks,

The build for master (Groovy 6) is now using Gradle 9. It looks like Gradle
downgraded functionality available to plugins in Gradle 9. I'll keep an eye
on it, but for now I noticed that if you are running for example the
dependencyUpdates plugin, you need to specify '--no-parallel'.
