     Sure, I can start doing this manually from a separate repo - The 
only challenge would be in pushing to the snapstore. I can start with 
pushing an existing build as PoC with my own keys.

Eventually, since this has to be under the Apache Groovy ownership, 
someone with access to the snapstore creds will have to help me in the 
upload part. But we can figure out the those logistics.

Like you have mentioned, in future, once this has stabilised, we can 
hook it into the release process. Thanks
