Hi folks

Thanks for the warm welcome and the invite to become an official Apache
committer for Groovy.

I guess many of you know me already from many FOSS places over the years
either from being pestered by me with bug reports or PRs,
or because me being the maintainer, or from helping in various forums,
Slacks, IRC channels and so on.

I'm into computers since early childhood and into FOSS for at least 25
years now,
being a committer on Spock, one of the maintainers of jEdit, providing some
things built from scratch like my setup-wsl GitHub Action
and contributed to many projects over the years, so you most probably
already used code by me one way or the other even if you didn't know. :-)
And now I'm also an official Apache commiter for Groovy.

I studied business informatics and am also working as software engineer at
daytime, building *the* standard software for civil and military aviation
regulators
at EMPIC, the world-market leader in our little niche with over 40
customers (there are usually max 2 possible per country).

If you have any questions, feel free to shout out.
But beward, I'm often extremely bad in answering e-mails, especially in a
timely manner. :-(
I'm often better reachable e.g. in the Groovy Slack.
