Hello! I'm new to mailing lists in general, so please tell me if I'm putting this in the wrong place

or otherwise misusing the list.

I've designed and would like to propose an alternate logo for Groovy. It's a very nice programming

language that satisfies all of my gripes with Java, but the logo gave me a bit of pause when deciding

whether or not to learn it. Having spent some time with the language, the current logo is charming,

and definitely screams 'groovy!' but I don't feel it translates well into an icon (for things like

IDEs) and I feel it's also a bit jagged (the lines feel a bit too thick, for example.)

I've attached a PDF with my design. I can tweak it if you'd like, and I really don't mind criticism

(so long as it is constructive.) I like designing things, but I am by no means a professional designer.

If the attachment isn't present, I've also uploaded it to Codeberg, where it is accessible here:

https://codeberg.org/midna/bin/src/branch/main/GroovyLogo.pdf

I'm not sure what terms would be necessary for this to become the new project logo, but if anyone does,

please let me know. I also don't expect this to replace the project logo, since people tend to grow

attached to them and I myself have been frustrated at redesigns like this.
