I don't think you're doing something wrong, but using %{_tmppath} instead
of /var/tmp would be cleaner. At least I think so... :-} Any RPM Grand Masters
on this list?

P.S.: Can anybody explain exactly the difference between the "neededforbuild"
and "usedforbuild" pseudo-comments in the SuSE RPMs? And how do these exactly
relate to "Requires:"?
