  Log:
  Added a README which claims to explain which of the 4 Makefiles to
  use under which circumstances.
  
  Cleanup of Makefile.ffi (which is the one to use with new Hugs).
  Now make clean and make all do the right thing and I killed some
  unused variable definitions.
