Hi,

I've used WinHugs for my functional programming courses whilst at University successfully under Windows 98, however upon recently upgrading to Windows 2000 I've hit a problem!

I have to enable the extension for my current piece of coursework, so I go to the command line and when I've reached the appropriate directory I type winhugs -98, the GUI then starts to load but I get a fatal error "unable to load prelude" and the interface prints an error: "ERROR - Illegal character escape sequence".

Its weird because hugs still work fine and loads prelude, so it is there but for some reason WinHugs has a problem, even when loading it without the extensions.

I'm I doing something stupid or do you have any ideas?

Many Thanks
