[ resending, since it bounced the first time ] -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: [Hugs-users] FW: [[email protected]: Hugs & SOEGraphics] Date: Thu, 24 Aug 2006 18:12:21 -0400 From: Paul Hudak <[email protected]> Reply-To: [email protected] Organization: Yale University Department of Computer Science To: [email protected] CC: Simon Marlow <[email protected]> , [email protected] , [email protected] , Paul Liu <[email protected]> References: <2E9B33CE230409489A7ED37E5E34090F052A44E9@EUR-MSG-20.europe.corp.microsoft.com> Hi Bjorn. The version of Hugs that we provide on the SOE website is the Jan 2005 version, I believe. We have not tested it with the latest Hugs release -- sorry. I should mention that maintaining SOEGraphics, which depends on HGL, which in turn depends on Win32, across mutiple platforms and across multiple compilers has been somewhat of a nightmare. We are now looking at Gtk2Hs as an alternative, more portable, and technically superior, implementation, although we are currently focussing that effort on GHC.
