noob checking in

I'm just a programming hobbyist wanting to learn a new language. I've messed with Self on my wife's OS X machine, but found it a bit overwhelming and perhaps best appreciated by OOP "gurus" - which I am not! AAMOF, I'm hoping that Io will open my eyes to OOP in a much more understandable way that Smalltalk and Self failed to do for me. Of course it might have been the web-based resources I was using to teach myself those languages.

Speaking of which - what would you suggest my first Io tutorial should be? TIA, and I'm looking forward to learning what seems to be a very easy language to grok!
