Aside: I would try using rvm again to install this, since your connectivity is apparently good enough to download all this stuff :-) However -- forget that source package. Assuming the binary package you previously downloaded was a tar.gz file, 1) pick someplace to unpack it 2) cd to the bin directory 3) ln -s jruby ruby Now you can use the `rvm mount` command.
