I would like to nominate Santoso Wijaya to become a committer on Jython.

As with the other two nominations I made earlier this week (Indra Talip and
Stefan Richthofer), I have personally worked with Santoso on getting his
patches and pull requests accepted.

Santoso in particular has contributed a nice enhancement of Jython's
support for Java integration, which is to treat any object implementing
java.util.Map to be usable (through duck typing) as a regular dict; in his
own words:

Regarding duck typing support for Java's standard data structures, duck
> typing is probably one my favorite features of the Python language, so when
> this bug hit the queue it immediately piqued my interest. This led me to a
> deep dive into how objects from Java classes are instantiated and how
> additional Python methods are injected. What needed to be done turned out
> to be rather simple once I found out where the entry points are (with the
> aid of a live debugging session or two). I'm excited that this patch will
> help users be able to treat Java container objects more like first class
> Python ones.

Santoso has also contributed work on dict, xrange, enumerate, socket, and
collections.deque. Collectively this work has demonstrated a deep knowledge
of both CPython (as our reference implementation) and Jython's runtime.

Bio. Santoso works as a QA engineer at Symantec testing Windows kernel
components (network filtering, to be more specific) in which he uses Python
primarily to develop automation systems or rapidly prototype proof of
concepts.
