Which repository to use?

Currently the jython code is on bitbucket[1] and github[2]. The github repo
has more recent commits, while the bitbucket repo has more pull requests.
It's not clear to me what the preferred way to contribute code is - pull
requests via bitbucket, pull requests via github, patches to the mailing
list, etc. Can anyone help clear this up? Thanks.
