Hello Javen, first of all, thanks for your reply! Help is very welcome (many issues on the tracker...). However, the 2.7.1 release is actually well on the way now, only waiting for SNI-issue to be fixed, as Jim Baker pointed out recently on jython-users. I just came across that linked talk and wanted to jolt people a bit, because lacking releases can be worse for a project than one might expect. In future we shouldn't accumulate so many bugfixes by all means, but do intermediate releases more often... *IMO*. The micro-version number is made for that. Regarding work on Jython 3, I think it is definitely not too early to start contribution on that front. If you'd like to help there, you probably should get in contact with Isaiah Peng. He is currently doing major work on Jython 3. Given that you mentioned JyNI: Tell me, if you'd like to help on that front. Best Stefan Gesendet: Freitag, 04. What work can a 4-year user and potential developer help with to make progress towards a solid 2.7.1 release? Is it too early to start writing code and unit tests for Jython 3? An easy immediate improvement would be to display the 2.7.1b3 release dated to January 2016. In future, please let's establish a stable release cycle.
