TensorFlow is great. However, I believe it uses standard JNI which copies
the data over the bridge. Recently, the ImgLib2 community has developed a
component called ImgLyb which bridges ImgLib2 with CPython via PyJNIus [1]
without requiring a copy. For details, see the website [2]. ImgLyb also
works in Jython via JyNI [3], so as JyNI matures the situation will get
better and better.
