Jython and Nailgun?

Dear all,
I have managed to get this working... and it makes the startup time basically disappear!

But then I found there was a fly in the ointment: old versions of the working files appear to get cached... and cached very persistently.

As mentioned at the end of this post I have now looked at the source code... but it is pretty hard stuff: both Java and C code is involved, and somewhat beyond my pay grade.
Is there an alternative to Nailgun perhaps?  Or has anyone succeeded with Nailgun?
