Hmmm, I don't thinks that's a very good solution... we are dealing with 
bytecode incompatible platform issues already... the socket module is an 
example for that... we needed to re-compile the Lua scripts on each 
platform (we had precompiled versions in the CVS to avoid needing luac & 
bin2c present during build)
