failed self_tests on OSX

Hi,
the current CVS checkout build and installs without a problem on my OSX 
machine...

But the cheia.self_test()s fail... it seems it can't load the built 
*.so's...

 > fs             failed - /usr/lib/luacheia5/fs.lua:1: [absent] tried 
/usr/lib/luacheia5/luafs.so

while I can verfy that the luafs.so is right there!

Any ideas?
