I currently have *no time* to check your libedit code, as I must=20
prepare for some exams I will have in the next three weeks. I promise=20

In the meanwhile, I have added an autoconf check: if the popen/pclose=20
(or _popen/_pclose) functions are available support for pipes is built=20=

in Lua's standard library (i.e: io.popen() is useable from scripts).

Just one more thought: I was wondering wether it would be valuable to=20
have a GTK module in LuaCheia would be valuable. I made a small=20
proof-of-concept module (i.e: just for fun) back in the days of GTK 1.2=20=

and I was able of creating windows and adding widgets (pushbuttons,=20
textlabels and checkboxes) to them, but nothing more. The issues are:

  - Do you find it to be an interesting idea?
  - The API of the module would be object-oriented or just a Lua-ized=20
"copy" of the C API?
  - GTK is GPL'd, so we must dynamically link against it, and rely on=20
the user having GTK installed (i.e: the module would be only built if=20
GTK is present).
