Glancing over your code, I don't see anything wrong with it, but it looks like 
you're using the sqlite module from the last alpha release, which had a lot 
of bugs. It has been completely rewritten since then (including some changes 
to the interface; see http://luacheia.lua-users.org/doc/sqlite.html), so I 
suggest you try the version which is in CVS. If you still have problems, post 
your new code and I'll see what I can do.
