autotools version OSX

Hi Adrian,
thanks for the extra info in README.MacOSX.
One note:
The Makefile.ins in CVS state that automake is version 1.7.9, but you 
write you are using 1.7.8
Now I don't think there will be any compatibility problem(?) just the 
fact that CVS will then always treat those files as different if 
generated with .8 or .9 (they will actually only difffer in that one 
line stating he automake version)

I updated my automake to 1.7.9...

(this versionitis is getting at me ;) )
