Google Summer of Code 2013

I am pleased to announce that MLton was accepted as a mentoring
organization for the 2013 Google Summer of Code.  Many thanks to Lukasz
Ziarek for help with the mentoring organization application and serving as
backup organization admin and to our friends at Google for vouching for the
organization.

Student applications for GSoC will open on April 22 and will close on May
3.  Students interested in submitting a proposal are strongly encouraged to
join the MLton developer mailing list (see http://www.mlton.org/Contact)
and get early feedback on their proposals.  While the page linked above has
a number of potential proposal ideas, we're be happy to discuss other ideas
that fit into MLton and Standard ML.
