I have a few days free. I can look into trying to rebuild MLton.

Getting a matching gcc is always a pain. Is there a reason you don't want
to use the old gcc that I got working with it in the past? I spent some
time submitting patches to both gcc and MLton to get them working together
last time. I doubt MLton has changed enough to break compatibility with
that version of gcc.
