I wanted to draw people's attention to the Successor ML Github project at

        https://github.com/SMLFamily/Successor-ML

This project includes a version of the SML definition that has been modified to
include Successor ML features (the edits are based on Andreas
Rossberg's documentation
for HaMLet/S at http://www.mpi-sws.org/~rossberg/hamlet/).

The MLton and SML/NJ implementations are starting to incorporate some
of these Successor ML
features, so we are starting to see some actual "evolution" (or at
least some mutations).

The plan is to use Github issues to raise ideas for discussion (Bob
Harper has posted a bunch
of ideas already), which will allow anyone to participate.  We'll use
the Wiki to manage more
concrete proposals; and eventually incorporate changes into the
Definition document.

BTW, there is an snapshot of the former Successor ML Wiki pages at

These were scrapped from the internet archive and so may be incomplete.
