Initial Comment:
A couple of minor points to make the web page a bit 
more consistent with general practice. 
 
1.  The tar file should make a directory (called 
something like Nice) and extract into that directory, 
rather than into the current directory. 
 
2.  Downloading the documentation files should have a 
descriptive name like NiceManual.pdf, rather than just 
manual.pdf.

I fixed point 2.

For 1, I am not sure if it would be good or not. Currently
you can do
cd /usr/local
tar zxf /tmp/Nice-0.9.0-unix.tar.gz

and you have a working system. If you want to put it in a
directory, you can.
I know the convention is to include a subdirectory, but
isn't that for source archives mostly?

Thanks for your advice.

For 1., I assume you are speaking of the compiled Unix
distribution. The source distribution already has a toplevel
directory.

I'll look at changing those 2 points soon.

(It could be a good idea for you to register in sourceforge,
so you can be notified when a bug report is updated).
