Hosting for non-core Nice packages?

Hi,

I think it would be useful to start a project to host non-core 
libraries/packages, so that development could happen fairly 
independently of the compiler itself. For instance, Bryn is working on 
iterator, io and threading libraries, Christian has written a calendar 
utility (used in the IRC logs). This could also encourage other people 
to contribute, without the fear of working on a compiler. :-)

Of course one can discuss what is core and what is not. The "very core" 
is what depends on special support by the compiler (this is in nice.lang 
prelude.nice at the moment). Things like typing for primitive types. 
Then there is the libraries needed to bootstrap the compiler. However 
that is a moving target, one might someday decide to use some library 
not in the Nice CVS repository. So maybe we could aim to support that, 
and only include the "very core" in the Nice CVS repository.

One idea is to open a new project (on SourceForge or somewhere else) to 
host some libraries. A bonus would be somewhere where Subversion is 
available, because it seems quite superior to CVS, and I would like to 
see it in action.
