Initial Comment: Compilation fails when trying to build Nice compiler from CVS. Currently I'm using MSYS environment, but the same result was obtained on Linux. Same error is produced using for both "0.9.9" and "0.9.10 prerelease (build 2004.11.22" nicec versions. cd src/bossa/syntax && javac -classpath "/c/spool/Java/rebuild/Nice/classes:/c/spool/Java/rebuild/Nice/classes.old" -sourcepath "/c/spool/Java/rebuild/Nice/src:/c/spool/Java/rebuild/Nice/stdlib" -O -g -d "/c/spool/Java/rebuild/Nice/classes" *.java && mv dispatch.java dispatch.java.bootstrap rm classes/bossa/syntax/dispatch.class CLASSPATH="/c/spool/Java/rebuild/Nice/classes" JAVA="java -Dnice.inlined=classes-inline" ./bin/nicec.bootstrap --exclude-runtime -d "/c/spool/Java/rebuild/Nice/classes.old" --sourcepath="/c/spool/Java/rebuild/Nice/stdlib.old:/c/spool/Java/rebuild/Nice/stdlib:/c/spool/Java/rebuild/Nice/src.old:/c/spool/Java/rebuild/Nice/src" --classpath="/c/spool/Java/rebuild/Nice/classes" -r bossa.syntax warning: Path component c:\spool\Java\rebuild\Nice\stdlib.old does not exist warning: Path component c:\spool\Java\rebuild\Nice\src.old does not exist nice.lang: parsing nice.tools.ast: parsing bossa.syntax: parsing C:\spool\Java\rebuild\Nice\src\bossa\syntax\methodbody.nice: line 283, column 30: addMappingsLS is not declared C:\spool\Java\rebuild\Nice\src\bossa\syntax\symbolexp.nice: line 107, column 51: copies is not declared ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Arjan Boeijink (arjanb) Date: 2004-12-07 00:43 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=688815 The problem is that the development version is outdated and can't handle new features. I have removed the use of these new features in cvs. Could someone confirm that bootstrapping works once the fix is in anonymous cvs? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Luc Perrin (leblin) Date: 2004-12-05 19:09 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=717201 i'm having this problem as well with a clean cvs checkout. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=112788&aid=1079278&group_id=12788 ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
