Yes, I think this must be a version of nice that has been built with kaffe, 
which had a bug in its jar implentation, causing duplicate entries. I reported 
the bug and it has been fixed in kaffe CVS, and so should be available in the 
upcoming 1.1.6.

To work around, either replace nice.jar, or avoid using -a.
