Nicedoc Status

Hello All,

As far as I understand the initial attempt at nicedoc
has been abandoned in favour of a solution that is
integrated with javadoc.

I have been quite busy with work, babies, and other
domestic duties lately so I haven't had time to
investigate the new solution.  I'm still keen to be
involved but any additional help would be more than
welcome.

Here an extract from an email I sent to Daniel some
time ago that contains my current thoughts on the
issue:

"From what I can understand, a Doclet is given a
DocRoot class which it uses to enumerate all the
class, methods, etc that it needs to generate
documentation.  If you are writing your own Doclet,
you can expect javadoc to provide you with a DocRoot
object.

As I see it, this won't work for us because javadoc
will not be able to understand nice source code.

However, what might be possible would to use nicedoc
create a DocRoot object and pass this to the standard
javadoc doclet (letting it handle all the html, etc)."

Any thoughts?
