unsigned integers, bytes

hello there.

i'm sorry, but i didn't understand how to ask this question in the forum.

i did not find any comment on unsigned bytes/shorts/integers and i was 
wondering if they were part of the nice specification. otherwise, are 
there good reasons for leaving them out, because i would really miss them.
