do not have the same number or kind of type parameters

I started exploring how to integrate a Java library with Nice - the 'obvious' thing was to make use of Nice parametric classes (the Java library had interface and class hierachies like ChannelInput & ChannelInputInt & and the authors original intention had been to extend this to the other Java primitive types). What seems to be the case is that I can easily parameterize the classes as-required; but then (because of extends and implements relationships) the type parameters ripple across the library, and would require 'dummy' types on many classes. Maybe I'm making some fundamental mistake? This seems like a show stopper. It seems worse than having separate hierarchies of ChannelInput & ChannelInputInt. (I realize this is a known problem - I probably didn't realize how big a problem it was.) best wishes, Isaac __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
