Here you can find a list of OCaml books for you to read. Particularly, the
"Real World OCaml" can definitely be a good book to start with.

As for exercises, I think OCaml 99 problems
<http://ocaml.org/learn/tutorials/99problems.html> are suitable for
beginners, of course you can also do the exercises in the book,
"Introduction to OCaml" by Jason Hickey, for example.
