[0]Boston.pm will have a tech meeting on Tuesday, February 12, at MIT, in
building E51, room 376 (directions below), starting at 7:15pm. Martin
Owens will be giving a presentation on one of his modules,
[1]Data::Validate::XSD.
This module allows the definition of complex data structures and allows
validation against them. It is based on the W3C XSD definition, and does
not use XML. Features include mirrored-errors (which describe failures in
terms of their structural position and the effect on the parents) and
minimal dependencies. Use cases include validation data sent to a
webpage, validating data used in object creation, and validating XML
parsed data.
RSVP to Ronald (rjk-bostonpm (at) tamias (d*t) net) if you're planning to
attend. Pizza and soda for this meeting will be sponsored by Cambridge
Interactive Development Corp. Thanks CIDC!

Damian is going to be in Wellington for the [0]Webstock conference and
has graciously accepted an invitation to speak at Wellington Perl Mongers
next Tuesday. The start time is 6:45pm and the location is the offices of
Catalyst IT Limited. Address, map and other details are on the

We've got a larger than normal room, so bring your friends and workmates
and lets pack the place out.

[0]YAPC::Asia 2008 is now scheduled on May 15-16, 2008 in Tokyo.
We are also announcing the call for presentations and early registration
for the conference today. We are looking for 20 and 40 minutes
presentations. The deadline for submissions is February 25th, 2008.
The conference website uses [1]Act so you can sign in using your existent
account if you've been to one of past YAPCs or Perl Workshops in North
America or Europe. Special Thanks to Éric Cholet for helping us out
setting up the site. We're working on Japanese translation of the site
and hopefully will contribute back soon!"
