The Calls For Papers ([0](EN) [1](DE)) for the upcoming [2]German
Perl-Workshop 2009 are available.

The 11th German Perl-Workshop will take place from February 25th 2009 to
February 27th 2009 in Frankfurt am Main at the "House of the Youth"
("Haus der Jugend").

The German Perl Workshop aims at fostering exchange and social networking
between Perl module developers and advanced Perl users in the
German-speaking Perl community (and beyond).

I'm pleased to announce the arrival of Perlish Patterns, my new book
responding to the patterns movement, available from [0]my lulu storefront.

This book is an expansion of [1] a series of articles I wrote once upon a
time for perl.com. In the book, I address every pattern from the
venerable Design Patterns by Gamma and others (the gang of four), plus
some others. While the gang of four focus on object oriented solutions, I
use a richer toolkit to explore other options available in Perl. For a
fuller description, see [2] www.perlishpatterns.com.

Also availble from [0]my lulu store are a book on the [3]Gantry web
framework and a novella about how our corporate overlords could leverage
networked computing to become as dangerous to free society as
totalitarian governments.
