I doubt it's deliberate, but it's a low-volume topic, so irc does
not seem to be the correct solution. Also, email is archived,
web-searchable, and reaches a set group of people. Having said
all that, I'd join a IRC channel, but only if it's on freenode:
I'm on enough irc networks already, without adding yet another
just for dbi.
