But looking better at the flow, I am convinced it is not a matter on IPv6.

Summarizing, this is the stream:

1) get the page, sending userid and pwd
2) user agent is diverted to an authentication page
3) user agent is diverted back to the site.

With Firefox, points 1 and 3 are on the same TCP stream. With LWP they
are 3 separated TCP streams..
