[Crypt::SSLeay] version 0.51 not compatiable with openssl 0.9.8

Hi,
	I tried to do 'make test' on both solaris 9 and fedora
core 4 servers and in both cases it failed. But compiling
against openssl 0.9.7* worked. This indicates an incompatibility
issue between Crypt::SSLeay 0.51 and openssl 0.9.8* versions.

	Crypt::SSLeay 0.51 is dated June 2003. Is this package
still maintained? If not, what other packages lwp now work with
to handle https requests?
