Even if it is not OK, you probably still have to accept it.
The only way to get things to work is to follow the RFCs as closely
as you can when producing data, and be as flexible as you can in
accepting it.  The worst e-mail clients are the worst in following
the standards (do I have to give names?)

So: even if a message should contain a From field, you still need
to accept messages without them.  Not only spam, but also many other
automatically generated messages, lack this line....
